The Night Men are a small but well trained section of MI6 who specialize in securing areas of strategic importance by clearing small areas of THEM for short periods of time. They are very quick, quiet and thorough and work best in absolute darkness. They are almost absurdly well equipped with the highest grade and newest equipment known to exist, and occasionally some equipment that isn't even known to exist.
Each Night Man wields a MARS Industries "Full Size" with integral silencer, chambered in 9mm with subsonic "brain boiler" air friction white phosphorous rounds in a 14 round clip. Attached to each FS is a "Howler" - a top secret "post fall" tech from MARS that produces a light and sound effect capable of holding THEM in a brief (2 - 3 second) trance. This is generally more than enough to take down individual walkers or crawlers, though is not particularly effective for groups.
For group subdual, Night Men use the MARS "Lightweaver" box rifle, a powerful semi automatic shotgun weapon chambered in .410 bore carrying 35 of the patented DUPF shells (depleted uranium and phosphorous fragmental), which is capable of creating a shotgun like fragmentary pattern of 1800 degree fire fragments. A hit is capable of flash frying anything combustible in the fragment zone.
The Night men standard outfit is a close fitting Kevlar and carbon fiber weave marketed by MARS under the name "IRONsilk". It is impervious to most organic penetrators (teeth, nails) and light enough to wear for hours without substantial fatigue.
The helmet integrates 9th generation night optics and "motion sense" software which tracks the static location of known objects in a room, then tracks and visually outlines any movement to give advance warning of "creeper" attacks.
As good as they are, they have been known to lose men to THEM from time to time. And with those helmets on, it's hard to tell if they've turned.
