For what felt like forever, Bumblebee believed he was the only one of his kind, some kind of mechanical monstrosity. The attack on GP and Throttle by the Decepticon known as Soundwave, changed everything. Bumblebee suddenly had proof that he wasn't alone and devoted all his free time to trying to locate another of his kind, hoping it wouldn't want to kill him.
Beachcomber found him first.
"Bug, what's going on?" Despite knowing that Bumblebee doesn't like the name 'Bug,' Throttle refuses to call him anything else.
"I... Sense... Something." The static-filled voice popped from the internal speakers.
GP looks out the window at the gray sky, rifle in hand, "Is it that thing?"
"No... It is different." His voice plays as various soundbites from radio and television. He stops, and his doors open, "Take cover." They don't wait and jump out, running behind the ruins of a building. Crumbling concrete, broken bricks, and shattered glass litter the ground. "It's coming... From... Behind us." The volume of his radio lowered to a whisper.

The off-road Volkswagon Beetle was suddenly an anthropomorphic robot. He crouched in the middle of the broken asphalt and dirt road, waiting for the attack. A quarter mile away, a blue dune buggy pulled to a stop in the middle of the road, clearly wanting to be seen. A white cloth raised up on a long antenna, and it slowly crept closer.
Crouched down next to each other GP strains to see what's coming, "What do ya see, Throttle?"
Throttle was studying it through a set of binoculars. "A white flag. It looks like some sort of, blue dune buggy with no driver."
"It's definitely one of his kind then."
"Looks that way." She lowers the binos passing them to GP, "Take a look."
At 100 yards, it stopped.

Another robot stood on the remains of the street, smaller in size, yet just as human-like, its eyes hidden by silver goggles. "Bumblebee, is it really you?" Its voice is metallic but wholly its own, unlike Bumblebee's stitched together electronic scree.

That was a month ago. Since then, Beachcomber has become another valued member of the Joe Team, proving itself to be a loyal compatriot.
Smaller, lighter, and faster than even Bumblebee, Beachcomber is tasked with recon missions where getting in and out undetected is key. This leads to him teaming up with Drifter, the Joe Team's resident speed demon. Beachcomber races to get the mission done.
