Lycanthropes. Those infected by the Lycan virus. They aren't all infected with the wolf strain. In fact there are dozens of strains. Dr. Link Talbot helped identify at least 12 different strains. Ratman was one of the Lycan that he treated prior to the Lycan virus causing the change. There is no cure for the virus, Talbot ran a support group for survivors of Lycan attacks.
