Growing up in poverty in Tennessee, Scrounge often reminisces about his childhood. Despite having very little, his family's resourcefulness was remarkable. They scavenged, built, and sometimes even resorted to stealing to meet their needs. His upbringing has uniquely prepared him to thrive in a lawless world, where survival of the fittest is the norm.
As the one responsible for sourcing essential supplies for the team, Scrounge routinely embarks on solo missions, venturing farther from their headquarters than anyone else. He has pushed as far as the outskirts of New Springfield, strategically stashing supply caches in all directions. This enables him to operate independently for extended periods while searching for additional resources.
