Reed joined the fire service after college. She passed all her fire courses with honors. She was on duty when the first calls about the undead started to come in. Her apparatus rolled out and while on the first scene they realized something was terribly wrong. When one of their fellow fire fighters fell beneath the gaping maw of a hungry creature she was first to pull it off of her partner.
