Red Beard joined the Army on September 12th, 2001. He served as a SAW gunner in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was his tour in Afghanistan that became his undoing. He became a little too familiar with the local export, opium. After receiving multiple reprimands, being put through a military rehab program, and failing, Red Beard was discharged. He came back to the states a disgruntled and angry vet. He made money fixing bikes which he promptly spent in local watering holes.
