These dedicated individuals serve as the backbone of Cobra's operations, functioning as technicians and support staff who assist the organization's numerous medical and technical professionals. Each Cobra Lab Rat is highly qualified, possessing at least a Master's degree in their area of expertise, and many hold doctorates, indicating a strong foundation in their respective fields.
In the aftermath of the undead plague, the role of Cobra Lab Rats has become increasingly vital. They are tasked with conducting crucial research and experiments that pertain to the ongoing studies funded by Cobra. Working tirelessly long hours, often under challenging conditions, they perform essential duties that are often overlooked or go unappreciated. Their meticulous work directly contributes to the survival and advancement of their peers, enabling others to continue their missions.

At the helm of the lab teams are the Science Vipers, each of whom holds an advanced degree—Masters or higher—in at least one scientific discipline. These highly trained professionals take on the role of supervisors, overseeing a minimum of five Lab Rats each. Their responsibilities encompass both direct collaboration with high-ranking Cobra scientists, such as the notorious Dr. Mindbender, as well as leading independent research projects that further the organization's objectives.
