Dialtone dedicated over two decades of his life to managing communications for G.I. Joe before everything fell apart. During the catastrophic event that led to the fall of New Salem, he found himself rushed onto a helicopter along with the Vice President and President. However, his memory was abruptly interupted by a flash of blue followed by darkness. When he eventually regained consciousness, he discovered himself secured to a gurney, disoriented and unsure of his whereabouts. Despite his confusion, several nurses assured him that his unanswered questions would eventually be answered.
