The Black Sheep of the family, Thomas G. Stall, has always lived in the shadows of his older brother and sister. He enlisted in the Army the same day as his older brother Dwight, following, yet again, in his footsteps. He completed OSUT (One Station Unit Training, a combination of Basic Training and AIT Advanced Individual Training) at Ft. Benning, home of the Infantry, second in the class behind his older brother. He trained to be 11C, mortars, but his prowess with a rifle brought him to the attention of his Unit Commander a man that recommended him for Sniper School. He attended Airborne and Ranger school where he received a further recommendation for the elite Sniper School. While his older brother went off to his Unit, Thomas went to Sniper School earning his rocker and graduating top of the class.
